If you know, you know.
After dissapearing the mechanical TIMEX Camper watch in early 1990s, its original silhouette replaced to a smaller 34mm version of the Camper watch with quartz movement until mid 2010s.
The original silhouette of Camper watch was brought back again in 2015 with quartz movement first in Japan and subsequently in the other regions including the U.S. after 2016. Numelous number of collabs and exclusives had been made based on that style.
In 2017, the special original silhouette Camper watch was launched - it was the first ever Camper watch made by SST case (quartz) with limited to 1,500pcs only in Japan and instantly sold-out.
This MK1 Mechanical is originally launched back in 2020 as a part of TIMEX Archive collection and special in many ways. The name of MK1 stand for Mark I (one) and this watch is manual/hand wind. The dial is newly designed by Giorgio Galli and the case has no fix lug so you can swap the strap as you wish.
Long story short, this MK1 Mechanical is surely based on the legendary military watch back in 1970/80s but has a aesthetic touch with a true watchmaking perspective.
Obviously this watch is not a Japan Domestic Market only style, but this may be the last chance to add this style to your collection as this has been discontinued globally. Limited reproduction so first come, first served.
